What It means to Honor God!

Do you ever think about what it means to fear the Lord? Have you heard wrong doctrines preached to you that if you do this or that God is out to get you? Is your Image of Him marked with wrong thoughts? All it means to" fear the Lord " is to honor him, respect him, to reverence him, to honor the blood that was paid for us! He is so worthy to have all this respect, and I want to share with you through scripture and my understanding of what I have come into!

The church in Acts is a good book to see how they lived, and found success, and  grew in numbers, signs and wonders and why they did. 

 Acts 9:31- Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened ;and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.

That is a good example right there for the church today, we should not loose the fear of the Lord, and what the benefits are to doing so! I believe in order to to truly walk with the Lord we must have this truth (key) working in our lives! Deuteronomy 10:12 - And now O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all soul, and to observe the Lord's commands and decrees that I giving you today for your own good. This is not a REQUEST, its a REQUIREMENT! If you look at that scripture, whats the first thing its saying? It is saying to fear the Lord before you can walk in ALL HIS WAYS, and from there you will be able to love him, and from there you can serve him with your whole heart and soul! 

Do you know that having the fear of the Lord is a gift to us? It will keep us from going our own stupid way, and getting out of the Grace of God. Thank God for praying Mothers with there children, when they have wondered off and our prayers have covered them! I am all for the message of Grace that is being preached, it is by Grace through  faith that we got saved. BUT, we cant forget all the scriptures about the fear of the Lord, we cant just think we can live a life any way we want, and expect to see things show up! The Lord is all about possessing the Land, but to really possess,you will have to pursue the Lord! Matthew 22:37- Jesus replied; Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. So like I said if you don't , respect, honor, reverence him how can we love him, with everything we have! 

Think of our loved ones here on earth, we don't ever want to hurt them intentionally. I believe  we have to get this truth back into the church, what it means to fear the Lord! To clear up what it truly means to fear Him! Its not a NEGATIVE message, its a good one! We can't just lay down where we want,  do what we want, and say " GRACE HAS GOT THIS" we must respect GRACE and what it is, JESUS!

These scriptures ministered to me as well, and we have to keep them fresh in our spirits everyday! This life has nothing to offer us, the lusts that pull on your heart,the deception. Its temporary down here! We should all be saying God use me, let me magnify your name! We are the light of the world!

If we don't walk in the fear of the Lord we pull the covering off us, we open ourselves up to the enemy and  his fiery darts! The fear of Lord keeps Satan off your property ( life).

 Isaiah 33:6- He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the KEY to this treasure. 

Psalm 25:12- Who then is the man that fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land . The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. 

This is a powerful verse!

I want to live in this circle of Blessing and have God trust me to make known his ways! I hope this is a positive message to encourage you, I know it did me! He love you!
