Is Addiction your friend ?

Their are  many who are suffering from one form of addiction or another, even in the church today! Addiction is one of the cruelest of all yokes because it deceives us unmercifully and ruthlessly.It comes to us like a friend , promising to bring comfort. It kisses us on the cheek like Judas, stealing from our treasury, then rents us for a cheap fee to the opposition. Addiction is a yoke that convinces us we must wear it to survive. Nothing will make you feel more powerless. It is a ungodly master in many lives. Their are countless people, even in the church today that have concluded that they are hopeless to overcome this beast of addiction.So what happens is they accept this relentless beast, which has caused them to fail time and time again. The accuser wears them down with lies and accusations that they are bound forever with this demon!

Many think freedom is a distant thing for them that would only come once in heaven. That is not the case, whether your addiction is substances or behaviors, God can set you free, it requires time, trust, and cooperation. The process is one that requires us to walk daily with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the one who came to set the captives free!

I know God could set many free instantly and he has, BUT many have returned to this beast, only to feel the shame once again. So I believe the process is one that requires your "thinking" to change and that is a process in the "word". The journey will show you who you really are and that you can make right decisions.These decisions will now give you the power you lacked before.

God teaches us Victory day by day, victory in Jesus Christ, we live in the constant awareness of His greatness and sufficiency. Hard lessons are often long-lasting lessons. God is far more interested in us getting to know our Deliverer than being delivered. 

Addiction is your enemy as it is Gods, but the truth is, God has defeated it at the cross. See yourself with the power of the cross on your side that if God be for you than who can be against you Though this enemy may look like a giant, do as the young David did as a shepherd boy when he looked Goliath in the face and SAID, who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God? 

 1Sa 17:45  Then said David to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the ranks of Israel, Whom you have defied.
We can all remember that story how David killed that giant with only a few stones and sling shot, he first knew who His God was, and he knew his covenant with God. He spoke first and told his enemy that he was going down, and he trusted God to overcome him. How much more for us a new testament church, with the Blood Jesus paid at the cross and rose again for us, praise His name!

We as believers today can speak to our enemy, "Satan is our enemy"- Joh 10:10  A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.
  
  

Rom 8:31  So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose?

Rom 8:32  If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us? 

We must realize that God's unquestionable will is your freedom from this yoke, but also trust that He has written a personalized prescription for your freedom. His word is your manual for life, all the scriptures are in their and are waiting for you to take them and pray and believe them.
God's strength is tailor made for our weaknesses!
Always remember we are never stronger than the moment we admit that we are weak! Seek God diligently and ask Him to show you the way to VICTORY!
2Co 12:9  and then he told me, My grace is enough; it's all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ's strength moving in on my weakness.

 We are partners in the cause of " grace and truth" that comes through Jesus Christ, thank God our Savior came equipped with both, for where would we be with just one or the other?

Be tenacious and patient, if you fall don't listen to the accusations and jeers of the evil one. Get back up and walk with God again. In your born again Spirit you are free, its your soul man that you are working out, with all the lust and desires that war against the Spirit. Renewing your mind to the word of God is where the habits change, one day at a time! He love you so much!

Joh 8:36  So if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through.

  

To all the daughters of God !

I felt impressed this morning to write something on your identity in God our Father, our King and Savior ! This is for the many women out their who have given their lives to Jesus, but are not really knowing that you are a loved, and treasured daughter! The bible says faith begins where the will of God is known. The truth of knowing who you are will set you free in many areas that are holding you back. So know that he knew you before you were formed in your mothers womb and he loved you

.Psa 139:13  For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb.

 You are separate, distinct from any other person. Don't compare yourself to the image of what the worlds idea of a woman should be, it can only be found in Him, Jesus! All these verses in this photo should be your mirror in life. The place that Jesus made for us must be taken by faith, and we must hold on to it, sometimes harder than other times. It can fade away if you let it, everyday look and say this I am ..... A daughter of the King!

When you know, that you know, how much He Loves you, you can leap over a wall and run through an army of attacks. trust me I know. Their is power in His love!

 Pro 31:30  Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised! Pro 31:31  Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city]! [Phil. 4:8.]

This is a powerful verse, it will take you along way in life, it will pave the way to a life of true success only found in Him. So know you are a daughter of the King and how much He Loves you !

You might think nothing is happening !

Do you know as a Son or Daughter of God what comes against you is temporary? I know when you are in the midst of something is doesn't feel that way or look it! We are approaching Easter Sunday and we are celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus our Lord! Now 2,000 years ago it may not of looked that way for his disciple's, or his mother, and others that knew Jesus. He would say things to them  about his death, and his resurrection, but it didn't register with them. It looked like he was just dead to them, they grieved and were saddened ! To the world  that they were in at that time Jesus was defeated, even  more so to the ones that killed him!  The devil thought he won, Jesus enemies that hated him thought he was defeated. The enemies of the cross viewed him just as a natural man with a story, one of which they never believed! So of course when Jesus died, they thought it was over and that nothing was happening!

So when they placed him in that tomb wrapped in linen cloths he was  just  a natural man to them, he was as good as dead, forever! Now that we are on the other side of it, thousands of years later we can read about it in the bible. For us today as believers its a different reaction than those of that time that loved Jesus!

He let the devil think he won ! Jesus couldn't move ahead of the Fathers assignment, can you just imagine the plan that they talked about right from the beginning, WOW !  Jesus was to rise on the 3rd day, Now this is what I'm getting at, it must of seemed like a long 3 days to those who loved him, and missed him. They thought they had lost him forever, they were not putting the pieces of the things he spoke to them together. Sometimes in your life, it might seem like nothing is happening with your  fiances, your sickness, your relationships, don't be moved something is happening! 

On the 3rd day it changed everything for us, Death was defeated ! Jesus stood out from those grave clothes like a man and walked like our GOD, like he said he would! He went to the grave as a man, but rose as LORD OF LORDS, KING OF KINGS! He is the King Jesus. We should not be worrying that nothing is happening, we have a hope that our God is with us, he loves us, he died and rose again so we can have life in Him. 

The Grave couldn't hold him, the devil couldn't hold him! Because he lives, we live, I live, Jesus is alive forever ! So let it bring hope and new beginnings to you that he did all this so you couldn't be held back from anything, anyone. He has defeated all your enemies you just have to believe something is happening! So when we go through something its just temporary, HE HAS RISEN !

Luk 24:39  Look at my hands; look at my feet--it's really me. Touch me. Look me over from head to toe. A ghost doesn't have muscle and bone like this."

Luk 24:44  Then he said, "Everything I told you while I was with you comes to this: All the things written about me in the Law of Moses, in the Prophets, and in the Psalms have to be fulfilled."

Luk 24:46  He said, "You can see now how it is written that the Messiah suffers, rises from the dead on the third day,

Luk 24:47  and then a total life-change through the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed in his name to all nations--starting from here, from Jerusalem!

You can change anything with the truth !

The truth, their is such power in the truth. It will change everything for a person. In the world we live in many people don't care about the truth, they will say things, or do things, that are so far from the truth, they don't even know right from wrong anymore. I am so thankful to God that he can change that in all our lives. He is the way the truth and life and no one comes to the Father except through him. John 14:6.

So what is this truth that can change anything for us? It is that we are now Sons of God, we are made to be able to function in this truth that will change the course of your life if you let it! Their is  time like a child that we mature into this, its not over night, but we must know this truth first. Rom 8:14  For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.Gal 3:26  for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

We have in our born again Spirit the same power that raised Christ Jesus from the dead,Rom 8:11  And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.

Our struggle is in the flesh, our victory is in the Spirit ! The strongest 3 words to us is "IT IS FINISHED". We must work from this foundation of TRUTH. Our sonship operates from this and we can then be over comers and we will know the truth and the truth will make you free. 

Luk 9:23  And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also].

That's a huge statement Jesus is making right their, but in order to fully operate as Sons in Christ we need to take that and truly apply that to our lives! 

Are we prepared to die daily, are we prepared to loose our opinion our reason ? That sounds way out their to the natural mind, but it is possible only through Holy Spirit with his help. Their are some that give up and let their senses always rule them in every matter, every decision. This does not mean we are meaningless cult  people, no their is freedom in letting that scripture in Luke become life to you. 

Self is a hindrance to our Sonship , it will cut the power off. Self can grieve the Holy Spirit, Self can resist the Holy Spirit and Self will look for another route always! Their is no other route to be free when Satan has his hand in your life other than the Holy Spirit. Its the only Power that can stop him. 

Their is a kingdom when we are born again on the inside of us - His name is Emanuel, His name is Jesus, His name is Almighty God, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, ready to rule and reign through us! That is a truth that will make anyone free and change anything! Praise His wonderful name!

Will you be found faithful?

God is faithful, God is faithful all the time,  now are we faithful to God to do what he asked of us? Sometimes we forget to see that in our lives. He may of been impressing on your heart to do something,or to walk away from someone that is not the best influence for you,its personal with all of us, be found faithful, do what he says. It could be a matter of life or death sometimes! Don't let the situation become larger than God, and loose hope in God.  Never loose your hope, hope is full of faith!  Faith will eliminate need, all our needs are met in Christ Jesus. The Kingdom of God is not a place, its a government to live by, its love, joy and peace in the Holy Spirit.

.Rom 14:17  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. You could be in the worst situation, and if you have "Peace" that is huge, peace in your heart, and in your thoughts. When you go to bed at night you  are at rest and have no fear, that is better than a million dollars in the bank! If you have "Joy", the bible says the Joy of the Lord is your strength. Strength to rise up in the morning to face anything that comes at you, if God be for you who can be against- Rom 8:31  What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

A faithful man is found faithful, he won't change with the times! He will say I cant be moved by my circumstances, my God is faithful, he will never leave me, no not ever, 

 1Jn 5:4  For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Faith begins where the will of God is known!   Rom 10:8  But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim). 

Being faithful to God wont come with instructions to understand the situation, it just means you are choosing to believe God in the matter at hand. You can believe and have faith for something before you understand it. If you say I have to understand something before I can accept it- that's not faith, its unbelief. You have a heart problem, its simply a choice to say I am going to believe God in all things. 

If He took what He didn't deserve, what does that mean for us? What did it do for us? All the things we deserved He took in our place- sickness, disease, poverty, death separation  from God for eternity. He has redeemed us from the curse, that is operating in this worlds system. So we can be faithful its a choice to trust Him, no matter what! Even when we are faithless he remains faithful, true to His Word. We are the ones that loose out when we choose not to trust Him. So I encourage you to say yes to be found faithful to Him! God will still love you regardless, it wont unravel your salvation but it will unravel your life.

Luk 16:10  "One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

Don't try to build your house in the storm!

It would be foolish in the natural to build a house in storm, wind blowing at high speed, lightening striking,  its no different in the spiritual! This is a divine order to the believer! Matthew 7:24-27 the wise and foolish builder!(Mat 7:25)  Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit--but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.(Mat 7:26)  "But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach.(Mat 7:27)  When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards."

These are the words of Jesus, don't you like how he uses the natural to explain the spiritual? It is so important to pay attention to this scripture, build your house even when things are going good. There are going to be some things to overcome in this life of faith, living by faith is not part time, its full time, day in, day out, faith will take you through!  

Our lives, our words, must be followed with  demonstration.(Act 5:16)  They came from the villages surrounding Jerusalem, throngs of them, bringing the sick and bedeviled. And they all were healed.

Are you of the " Household of Faith"? That's for those who on purpose, cling to the word of God! Believing and trusting on God! In this world  things can spin out of control, if we look at and trust this worlds system, they will fail us, they are not built on the foundations of God. If and when  their is a report, who's report will you believe? 

Joshua and Caleb had the right attitude they choose to believe God! .(Num 13:30)  Caleb interrupted, called for silence before Moses and said, "Let's go up and take the land--now. We can do it."

That is the attitude we should have, the other group of people where looking at all the circumstances!(Num 13:31)  But the others said, "We can't attack those people; they're way stronger than we are."

Do you ever say or think that, and let that be your final decision? Joshua and Caleb were of the house hold of Faith, and so should we be! Don't let others speak into your life with negative reports and then build your house on that .(Num 13:32)  They spread scary rumors among the People of Israel. They said, "We scouted out the land from one end to the other--it's a land that swallows people whole. Everybody we saw was huge.(Num 14:1)  The whole community was in an uproar, wailing all night long.

Have you ever let something effect you like this because of what others have reported or what came against you? Those people never entered that land God wanted to give them, they died in the wilderness because they let what they saw be there out come.  God in his mercy raised Joshua up and told him to take another generation of people through.(Jos 1:5)  All your life, no one will be able to hold out against you. In the same way I was with Moses, I'll be with you. I won't give up on you; I won't leave you.(Jos 1:6)  Strength! Courage! You are going to lead this people to inherit the land that I promised to give their ancestors.(Jos 1:8)  And don't for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you'll get where you're going; then you'll succeed.

Today we have Jesus and he is our ROCK, build your house, which is your thought life on him, Chose to put his words into your life and think on them, believe them on purpose, and declare that you are an over comer!

Are you allowing yourself to be a HOSTAGE?

We have all seen movies on television where their was a hostage taken, someone was taken without their consent! This might seem like a weird question, but it is really a relevant question to a christian who is not experiencing a joyful, overcoming, winners attitude  life! A  right attitude in their thinking! I use that word because in someways many Christian's are trapped in their"wrong thinking", and"wrong belief" of who they are in Christ! Their thinking does not line up with how God wants them to succeed, how God loves them, and who they are in Christ. So who has taken them HOSTAGE?  The bible says in John 10:10- The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

First of all if you don't believe Jesus himself quoted that verse, and, that it was a direct warning from him, then you are already a hostage in your  thinking! We corporate when we lower our thinking, and say I'm only human, it's only normal for me to feel this way or act this way. I can't stop myself from doing all these bad things, something just makes me do it.  If you get a doctors report that said theirs nothing they can do for me, and we say IF YOU SAY SO! These are total lies, and  you can stop them because of what JESUS did at the  cross and  his Resurrection!

Psalm 103:3- who forgives all your sins and HEALS ALL YOUR DISEASES
Psalm 91:9- If your make the Most High your dwelling even the Lord who is my refuge- then no harm will befall you


We must not embrace the mind set of defeat, Satan's" ONLY" authority into our lives rest on the fact that we start agreeing with our" circumstances" that try to defeat us. That is his inroad into our lives, and the only way he can attack a born again child of God! No one is alone, we all have struggles at times, BUT,First of all we must believe we have authority in the name of Jesus, and that Satan is defeated. He only has the power we give him, to twist things, and then believe things. That is why it  is so important to know what the word of God says in this area!

We need to take responsibility for our actions, and start acting like sons and daughter of the most high God. Christianity is not what we can get God to do- Its a finished work. We need to find out what He's done in the word, and reach out and take it! When we find ourselves saying I can't, I tried it, BUT, it's not working! That feeling of Powerlessness is a revelation of your unbelief - or ignorance, and you are defeated the moment you believe that. You have separated yourself from God, and are allowing yourself to be held Hostage in your thinking. Your missing your authority in Christ! Unlike a person who has literally been taken hostage in the natural, you can free yourself through believing what the word says and start speaking to your circumstances to change in the name of Jesus!


We should be atmosphere changers, not hostages in our own circumstances of defeat! We are alive and as born again sons and daughters of God,  their is a world of people out their who need to see the light in us, we need to start being bold.What goes in comes out, Jesus said it himself! Matthew 12: 34- 37 - For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks . The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted . and by your words you will be condemned. 

Whatever is in your heart will create the world you live in, our future is in our heart. That's what that verse speaks! HOSTAGE, OR FREE!

The good news is we can put Gods laws into motion and start persevering, resist the devil because he will flee James 2:6 says it. The law of hearing, the law of actions and the law of saying something. These are kingdom laws for us to act upon and see results

God won't force you to do anything, but we must cooperate, line ourselves up with His word. A good example, I like, is the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-This woman suffered and was subject to bleeding, and was under the care of doctors. What this woman did, she put these spiritual laws into action, she first HEARD, FAITH COMES BY HEARING THE WORD OF GOD.  Romans 10:17. Then she SAID, Mark 11:23- Whoever would say to the mountain, ,Proverbs 18:21- Death and life are in the tongue. Then she was aggressive, pushed through the crowd Matthew 11:12- From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.

She wasn't going to let anything stop her from receiving her healing that day. This woman was not sized up by Jesus to pass approval, he didn't even know who touched him, but said "who touched me"? He made laws of gravity and they work when we put them into motion. He created laws how his power works - through putting into action His WORD. That is what this women did that day, and that is why it worked! We just need to do the same and not be Hostage to our circumstances!
